Brenntag Canada Announces the Opening of a New Facility in Beauharnois

Brenntag Canada Inc., part of the Brenntag Group, announces the grand opening of a new facility with approximately 20,000 square-meters in the industrial area of Beauharnois, Quebec.

Each year this facility will handle a combined throughput of approximately 20,000 MT of compressed natural gas. It will also offer a wide variety of other chemical products, as well as services including packaging, storage, and logistics.

Safety is the number one priority at Brenntag. To support this core value, the facility is equipped with the most modern technology to ensure a safe, controlled environment. In addition, the facility is located on-site at a major supply partner, reducing the transportation mileage required to serve customers and developing a more sustainable footprint.

At the grand opening on September 5th, local dignitaries were in attendance, including Mr. Bruno Tremblay, Mayor; and Mr. Richard Dubuc and Mrs. Linda Toulouse, Municipal Councilors for the City of Beauharnois.

“We are thankful for impactful, long-lasting collaborations with our landlord, city, and province during operations at our facility in Cornwall, Ontario. Specifically, while this location was recently vacated to allow the property to be redirected to alternative uses,” stated Lars Schneider, President of Brenntag Canada. “With this, our employees and company are excited to commence operations at our newest location in Beauharnois, Quebec, allowing us to serve customers from a state-of-the-art facility while offering advantageous logistical and infrastructural opportunities. We are looking forward to a safe, long-lasting operation and full commitment to our new community. Lastly, we are delighted nearly all the committed, professional, and well-trained Brenntag staff has decided to move into the new facility. This smooth transition ensures a continuation of our dedication to our Safety-First core value, commitment to sustainability, and focus on customer service.”
