Sustainability issues like safety, environmental protection, responsibility in the supply chain are critical to Brenntag's long-term business success. Brenntag demonstrates further commitment to reducing emissions through the replacement of 16 vehicles with new Volvo Euro 6 models.
Brian Lister, General Manager Inorganics at Brenntag Sandbach site, said: "We focus on continuously enhancing our fleet's efficiency in line with sustainability and safety targets set within Brenntag. Selected features of new vehicles include lane assistance, autonomous braking, telematics and CCTV cameras (front, side and in-cab) aimed at further improving the safety profile of these trucks both on the road and during deliveries."
Brenntag has received the Gold status at an EcoVadis assessment in October 2016. Its performance put Brenntag in the top 1% of companies assessed in this industrial sector, and in the top 2% of companies assessed by EcoVadis in all categories.
