We are delighted to announce that Aneeb Chaudhry, Capital Project & Engineering Coordinator, has been awarded with the Chemical Business Association’s (CBA) Young Person of The Year Award!
The CBA Young person of the year award is designed to encourage young people and to recognise excellence within the chemical distribution sector. The winner demonstrates how their ability and individual performance has contributed to a strategic enhancement in an area of the business or the significance of the individual contribution in terms of its innovation, engagement, or inspiration.
Aneeb was nominated for this award by Gareth Dobinson, Head of Supply Chain Operations, for his excellent dedication and commitment to Brenntag over the past year. One example of the work that Aneeb has been doing, that ultimately led to him winning this award, was his management of the refurbishment of a 3000 tonne Caustic Soda storage tank. The challenge that Aneeb and the team faced was that this project had to be done within a short time frame whilst maintaining safety and regulatory requirements for multiple contractors working on the project. The project was completed without any accidents or incidents and two weeks ahead of schedule.
CBA Chief Executive, Peter Newport, said, “Aneeb has made a significant contribution to Brenntag in terms of its operational and safety performance and is a very worthy winner of this year’s CBA’s Young Person Award.”
After finding out the result and receiving this award, Aneeb said, “I am honoured that the Chemical Business Association has chosen me as the winner of this award and very proud to be able to represent Brenntag. I am grateful to be able to work with multiple people in various departments across the Brenntag network. Furthermore, I would like to thank the Brenntag management team for their continued support and guidance.”
