Wheat Q 8226 is a trimethylquaternized salt of a polypeptide obtained by the hydrolysis of edible wheat protein. Compared to regular hydrolyzed proteins, quaternized proteins possess enhanced moisturizing and conditioning capabilities due to their higher substantivity to hair. Not only does Wheat Q impart a good moisturizing effect, but it also aids in the reparation of damaged hair because of its Cystine content.
