Brenntag offers a broad range of biocidal active ingredients which are listed by the ECHA. This also includes PURAC® Sanilac by Corbion.
PURAC® Sanilac is produced by fermentation and is a fully bio-based antiviral agent for disinfecting hands and surfaces.
Furthermore, the ethanol content of a formulation can be reduced by up to 40% by using 3 - 4% PURAC® Sanilac. This is milder on the skin, saves resources and ultimately protects our environment. The antiviral function of PURAC® Sanilac is achieved via a number of mechanisms that can act on different types of viruses, including the coronavirus (COVID-19), in different phases of their life cycle. The antiviral effect of PURAC® Sanilac has been proven using the European standard test method EN 14476 for evaluating the antiviral activity of consumer and cleaning products. The results of this study are available on request.
