Our supplier, Elkem Silicones, has launched its latest low viscosity (2 cSt) dimethicone.
MIRASIL® DM2 is a highly volatile, odourless oil which displays excellent spreadability on the skin, high water repellency and temperature stability as well as high shearability. It is soluble in most solvents and alcohols.
Also, it has an excellent compatibility with other cosmetic ingredients. This makes it the ideal base oil in creams, lotions, deodorants and antiperspirants, cleansers, bath oils, hairsprays, sun care products and many more applications.
Typical use levels range from 0,5 % to 2,0 % and up to 10,0 % for a waterproof and/or protective effect. MIRASIL® DM2 makes the skin soft and subtle. Furthermore, it leaves a non greasy feeling on the skin without any residue.
