Sonneborn offers an entire range of six natural alternatives to petrolatum. Especially the SonneNatural 200 Series offers two distinctly unique products, SonneNatural H-203 and SonneNatural J-207. Both emollients are sustainable, have a Natural Origin Index of 1 according to ISO 16128 and they have the same INCI-name, Olus Oil, but they vary greatly in their properties and functions.
SonneNatural H-203 offers a firm base with medium cushion, medium to low gloss, low slip, short play time and minimal spreadability. The short play time delivers body and tack to formulations, making it ideal for hair styling products such as putty and pastes and for lip balms that require a more compact feel.
SonneNatural J-207 offers the natural, classic look and feel of neat petroleum jelly, feels soft with medium cushion, extremely glossy with medium slip and play time, and has excellent spreadability. Its properties and appearance fit best for use in elegant lip moisture balms or high-end hair pomades.
Both products have good moisture retention properties, are UV-stable, have a good safety profile and have not been tested on animals and have a long shelf life of 24 months.
