Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution with its unit Brenntag Specialties Personal Care (PC) / Household, Industrial and Institutional Cleaning (HI&I), is committed to supporting innovation and sustainability in the chemical industry. The Formula XI Conference in Lille, France, on July 3-6, will emphasize that scientific discoveries and technical innovation are the driving forces behind bringing new products to the market and meeting the ever-changing needs of customers and the planet. It focusses on solving challenges with integrative formulation.
“The world is changing, the way we look at chemistry is changing, consumer habits are changing. Formulation is at the heart of these concerns and, as an essential part of our daily lives, it must adapt and provide viable solutions in line with these changes” says Michael Wilkop, President PC / HI&I Brenntag EMEA.
This year’s Formula XI conference is following the Formula X conference in Manchester in 2019, Formula IX in Beijing in 2017 and Formula VIII in Barcelona in 2015. Brenntag is an avid supporter of the conference, especially in Lille where Brenntag Specialties just recently opened a new Personal Care Innovation & Application Center focusing on cosmetics in the proximity of the Lille university.
The lectures at the Formula XI Conference will cover all areas of Formulation Science and Technology and will provide new cutting-edge aspects. The Formula conferences are a dedicated place for researchers and industrials to meet and discuss. They bring together all those involved in the exciting, multidisciplinary, complex but extremely rich field of formulation.
“This conference provides an excellent opportunity to bring together researchers, industrials and academics to discuss the challenges and opportunities our industry faces” said Francois Bouton, Director of Innovation and Technology for PC / HI&I at Brenntag EMEA. "We are committed to supporting innovation and sustainable solutions in the chemical industry.“
“Ingredients considered to be cleaner and more sustainable alternatives, as well as new formulations developed with a minimum of raw materials (wherever possible biobased) while maintaining performance, create new challenges. Energy, sustainability, environment, decarbonization, safety. All these are in the focus of the Brenntag experts and are being integrated into the development of new formulations” adds Andreas Kicherer, Vice President Sustainability Brenntag.
