Compounds based on Basis PBT and PET
TECDUR is based on polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), a material with a high dimensional stability in heat and a high stiffness and hardness. Parts in TECDUR compounds will withstand high dynamic loads and display extremely good sliding and abrasion behaviour. TECDUR also has good chemical resistance and a low susceptibility to stress cracking. It additionally offers excellent dimensional stability on account of its low moisture absorption.
Glass fibre reinforcement up to 60%. Other types of reinforcement, including glass spheres, minerals, carbon and aramid fibres. Also grades with dry and low- temperature impact strength, antistatic grades, highly heat-stabilised grades and laser-inscribable grades. Grades for tribological applications with MoS2, PTFE, graphite and silicone. All the different colours are also fundamentally possible, insofar as the individual material components will permit this.
