We are specialists

Comprehensive product knowledge and process engineering know-how ensure the very highest quality and are our success factors. Whether you need structural materials, high-performance or specialty compounds, our thermoplastics are individually adjustable and have proved successful and have become established in a wide range of applications in highly differing industries. Metal substitution, tribology or thermal conductivity are just some of our core competences.

NYLAFORCE® - Strong construction materials as metal substitution

Strong construction materials

We have built up special know-how in the field of metal substitution. Our NYLAFORCE® and NYLAFORCE® dynamic product groups are ideally suited to functional engineering parts that are subject to stringent requirements on strength and stiffness and constitute attractive alternatives to metal materials, such as aluminium, and zinc and brass alloys, in many areas.

Advantages

  • Cost savings
  • Weight reduction / light weight
  • Complex design options
  • Corrosion resistance
  • Functional integration
  • Reducing cycle time

TRIBOFORCE® - Smooth running

Smooth running

Another core competency are tribologically optimized compounds. Exceptional wear resistance and low coefficients of friction make our TRIBOFORCE® products the ideal material for toothed wheels and bearings to withstand extreme requirements.

Advantages

  • Optimal sliding and friction characteristics
  • High wear resistance
  • Reducing noise development
  • Wide temperature range
  • No lubrication (PTFE) possible
  • No deposits

AQUAFORCE® - A clean solution

A clean solution

Drinking water is a high-quality food product and must meet the highest hygiene demands. However, quality can be adversely affected on the way to the consumer, for example by heavy metals in the supply system. AQUAFORCE® products can replace conventional metal components and thus ensure perfect drinking water quality.

Brenntag´s AQUAFORCE® compounds have been developed especially for components in the cold water range that require approval for contact with drinking water. These engineering materials, which are based on PA66, are used in applications that include coffee machines, water meters, filters, pumps and fittings.

Advantages

  • No contamination of drinking water
  • Corrosion resistant
  • More cost effective than brass components of the same volume
  • Design freedom allows fabrication of complex components
  • Approvals:
  • KTW Guideline / DVGW Worksheet W 270 (Germany)
  • ACS (France)
  • WRAS (Great Britain, BS 6920-1:2000)

THERMOFORCE® - Warmly recommended

Warmly recommended

Thermally conductive thermoplastics are employed particularly in applications where the use of metals poses problems, such as in the insulation field. They also offer clear advantages compared with metal from an economic, technological and design angle.

Our THERMOFORCE® compounds are thermally conductive, electrically conductive or electrically insulating. With their outstanding material properties, these compounds are certainly a match for metal materials when it comes to thermal conductivity and they additionally provide all the benefits of thermally conductive polymers.

Advantages

  • Optimum heat dissipation
  • Maximum freedom of design
  • Clear cost and weight reduction
  • Electrically conductive or electrically insulating
  • Multifunctional use

ALAMID® D - Magnetic attraction

Magnetic attraction

Industrially manufactured foods have long been a feature of our eating culture, and it would be impossible to imagine every-day life without industrialised production of this kind. At the same time, negative headlines about contaminated foods and animal feed leave a bitter after taste amongst consumers. Consumers quite rightly expect products of maximum safety and quality. This makes it all the more important to bring flawless goods onto the market, which meet up to the stringent quality criteria of consumers, manufacturers and legislators.

In the pharmaceutical industry too, soiling due to foreign bodies in the production process can have serious consequences for both consumers and manufacturers alike.

Our ALAMID® D compounds are magnetically detectable. The basic polymer is modified with metal additives, allowing foreign bodies to be detected by the standard types of metal separator. This ensures that even the smallest particles of thermoplastics can be reliably detected and removed from the production stream.

Advantages

  • Robust, lightweight, flexible and versatile
  • Maximum process safety
  • Detection of foreign bodies by means of common metal separators
  • Food conformity according to regulation 10/2011 (EU), FDA 21 CFR
  • Individually adjustable (colour, base polymere)
  • Conductive combinations possible
  • Reinforced and elastic types (eg for cable ties)
