Target values for the proportion of women at Brenntag GmbH

Pursuant to Sections 36 and 52 of the Limited Liability Companies Act (GmbHG), Brenntag GmbH is obliged to set targets for the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board, the Management Board and the two management levels below the Management Board and to set a deadline for achieving these targets.

The deadline for implementing these targets expired on June 30, 2022. All the target values have been achieved or exceeded.

As of June 30, 2022, the proportion of women on the Supervisory Board of Brenntag GmbH was 33.3%, which corresponds to one woman. The target of 0 % set by the Shareholders' Meeting was therefore exceeded. The proportion of women at the Management Board of Brenntag GmbH at the end of the period on June 30, 2022 at 0 % is in line with the target set by the Shareholders' Meeting. At the first management level below management, the proportion of women as of June 30, 2022, was 20% (3 women), exceeding the quota of 0% set by the Management Board. Furthermore, the quota of 10% set by Management Board for the second management level below the Management Board was exceeded as of June 30, 2022, with a proportion of 34.2% (13 women).

In June 2022, the following targets for the proportion of women were set by the Shareholders' Meeting and the Management Board for a period from July 1, 2022 to January 31, 2026. This also took into account the ESG target of increasing the proportion of women at all management levels below the Group Board of Management to at least 30% for the Brenntag Group by 2030:
