SP Cithrol™ DPHS MBAL

This emulsifier is particularly effective in creating stable, low-viscosity W/O emulsions that offer a light and elegant skin feel, often resembling the texture of oil-in-water (O/W) systems. It supports high internal water phase formulations, accommodating up to 90% water content, which enhances hydration without compromising emulsion stability. Cithrol™ DPHS MBAL is suitable for a broad range of personal care applications, including facial moisturizers, body lotions, sun care products, and color cosmetics. Its ability to produce light, non-greasy emulsions makes it ideal for products requiring frequent application and a pleasant sensory profile. Physically, it is a red-brown waxy paste with a melting point between 40–45°C and an HLB value of 5.5. The recommended usage level in topical formulations is between 1–2%. Additionally, Cithrol™ DPHS MBAL is solvent-free and aligns with various sustainability criteria, including majority bio-based content and availability of Halal-certified grades.
