Softisan® Condition Hair

Softisan® Condition Hair is a 100% natural-based, multifunctional ester derived from pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (PCA) and glyceryl oleate. This vegan and palm-free ingredient serves as a universal cationic hair and skin conditioner, enhancing the sensory profile of formulations. At physiological pH (5.5) or lower, it carries a positive charge, allowing it to bind effectively to the negatively charged hair and skin, thereby improving wet and dry combing. It also acts as a deposition aid for hydrophobic materials, such as natural oils, by forming coacervates. In skin care applications, it contributes to moisturization and supports the skin barrier by reducing transepidermal water loss. Softisan® Condition Hair is compatible with various formulation types, including oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions, anhydrous systems, and surfactant-based products. It is suitable for both hot and cold processes and can be added to the oil or surfactant phase.
