Softisan® 649

Softisan® 649 is a plant-based, synthetic alternative to lanolin, designed to mimic the natural properties of lanolin while offering enhanced stability and a more consistent composition. It is a semi-solid ester with a melting point around 35°C, providing excellent adhesion to the skin and mucous membranes. This ingredient boasts a high water-binding capacity of over 200%, contributing to its effective moisturizing properties. Softisan® 649 is particularly suitable for applications requiring strong skin adhesion and moisture retention, such as wound care products, lip balms, and other topical formulations.
