Procetyl™ AWS
Procetyl™ AWS is a multifunctional, nonionic surfactant derived from cetyl alcohol reacted with ethylene and propylene oxides. It serves as an effective emollient, superfatting agent, emulsifier, solubilizer, wetting agent, and plasticizer. Soluble in both aqueous and aqueous-alcoholic systems, it is particularly useful in formulations such as bath oils, shampoos, clear gels, and hydroalcoholic systems. Procetyl™ AWS imparts gloss to hair styling products and reduces static flyaway in shampoos and conditioners. It is also employed as a dispersing agent in antiperspirants and as a wetting agent for pigments. Additionally, it functions as a co-emulsifier in conjunction with Crodafos CS20 acid for sprayable emulsions or wipe formulations. The ingredient is manufactured via the RSPO’s Mass Balance System, aligning with sustainable sourcing practices
