Mercur® 500 USP

Merkur® 500 USP is a pharmaceutical-grade white petrolatum produced by Sasol. It is a white, odorless, semi-solid mixture of refined hydrocarbons, compliant with Ph. Eur. standards. This ingredient (Petrolatum) serves as a consistency regulator, emollient and carrier for active ingredients in various formulations. It protects skin from dehydration and reduces desiccation. Moreover, it contains an antioxidant for stability. It is an ointment-like homogeneous mixture of high-purity, hydrogenated, predominantly saturated hydrocarbons. Merkur® 500 USP is used in skin creams, baby care, body lotions, fatty creams, hair care & hair styling and ethnic hair care & hair relaxer. It is suitable for lotions, pastes, ointments and base creams.
