Brenntag Giving, a pioneering program developed by company's employees, features a variety of projects, from engagement with local charity groups, supporting employee-driven charitable initiatives locally, to working with educational bodies and activities to promote active lifestyles and support interest in chemistry.
Russel Argo, President - Brenntag UK & Ireland, said: “Over a year ago we launched a wide ranging strategy called People Focus to support, develop and listen to our employees. The strategy was the embodiment of a large number of initiatives, designed to achieve the company goal to make Brenntag the place where the best people want to work. One of the biggest schemes launched as part of People Focus following feedback from all employees was "Brenntag Giving". This community involvement program is managed entirely by our team of over 850 employees at sites throughout the UK & Ireland. Since the conception of Brenntag Giving in March 2015, every Brenntag site and business unit has actively participated and helped raise a magnificent amount of £21,855 for a large number of deserving charities, often very personal to our employees, in local areas across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland”.
