Markus Klähn, Brenntag North America Chief Executive Officer (CEO), originally joined Brenntag in 1994. After various positions at corporate headquarters of Brenntag Group in Germany, he became Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Brenntag Latin America, Inc. in 2004.
In 2007 he became President of Brenntag Northeast, Inc. and overtook operational responsibility for Brenntag North America in 2011 as COO. In February 2013, he was appointed President and CEO of Brenntag North America, Inc.
Effective July 1st, 2015, Klähn became a member of the Brenntag Management Board.
Steven Terwindt, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Brenntag North America, joined HCI - Brenntag in the Netherlands in 1998 and shortly after he started his international career at Brenntag Latin America in Sales and Marketing. Between 1998 and 2005 he went on to hold various Commercial Leadership and Country Management positions in Colombia, Venezuela and Peru before he was promoted in 2005 to Managing Director of Brenntag Mexico. In January 2012 he was the Regional Managing Director for both Mexico and Central America.
As of October 2012, Steven was appointed Vice President of Brenntag Canada and in December 2013 was promoted to President of Brenntag Canada Inc. He served on the Board of Directors of Responsible Distribution Canada (RDC) until July 2016 when he joined the Brenntag North America Leadership team as Executive Vice President and COO.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and History from the University of Essex 1992 (United Kingdom) and a Masters from the London School of Economics 1993 (United Kingdom).
Jim Holcomb is the Chief Operating Officer for Brenntag North America.
Dieter Woehrle, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Brenntag North America, joined Brenntag in 2007 as the CFO for Brenntag Latin America. He was responsible for supporting management processes, enhancing financial reporting, and building cost saving programs amidst the financial crisis of 2009.
After two years of working with Brenntag Latin America, Woehrle was promoted to the CFO EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) for Brenntag Holding GmbH. He supported leadership by driving significant organizational transformations across the region.
Woehrle holds a Bachelor in Administration, an MBA in International Business, and is a member of the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS). He is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, German, and English.
David Garner, Senior Vice President of Operations of Brenntag North America, joined Brenntag in 1983 as a Management Trainee in Henderson, KY. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
During his career, David has been a consistently strong contributor as Production Manager, Chlorine Supervisor, Plant Manager, Director of Operations and Vice President, Operations, Brenntag Mid-South. He was promoted to Vice President, Operations, Brenntag North America, Inc. in 2004. Over the years, David has been instrumental in the successful implementation of strategic projects and preparation, as well as integration of numerous acquisitions.
In addition, David has been a Board Member of the Chlorine Institute for 11 years and was recognized for his service and safety leadership with the Peter Mayo award in April 2015. David serves as the Chairman of the Brenntag Global Quality Health Safety & Environment Committee as well as his Brenntag North America duties.
Jim Doyle, President of Coastal Chemical, has served as Vice President, then President of Region III of the National Association of Chemical Distributors. In 1992 he was recognized by that organization as Distributor of the Year. He has also served as President of the UL Alumni Association and in 2007 was honored in their annual Spring Gala as the Outstanding Alumni.
In 2012 Jim was honored by Brenntag North America for his contributions to Brenntag and the chemical industry over his 42 years in the industry and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
He currently serves as a member on the Board of Governors UL Foundation, as well as a member on the boards of Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana, Iberia Bank Advisory Board, and the Miles Perret Cancer Center Finance Committee.
