Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, has opened its new AdBlue® facility in Samut Prakan, Thailand, following official certification from the Quality Management Center (QMC) of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Located approximately 30 kilometers from central Bangkok within Brenntag’s warehouse complex, the site is strategically positioned to serve both domestic and regional customers efficiently. This milestone marks Brenntag’s first VDA-certified AdBlue® production site in Asia Pacific, complementing certified facilities already operating in other parts of the world.
Equipped with dedicated storage tanks, closed transfer systems, and controlled filling lines, the Samut Prakan facility ensures product purity, traceability, and contamination-free handling in full compliance with VDA and ISO 22241 standards.

AdBlue® is a high-purity 32.5 percent urea solution used in selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems to convert nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. The VDA license authorizes Brenntag to produce, package, and distribute AdBlue® from Samut Prakan to customers across Thailand and Asia Pacific, supporting the region’s growing demand for reliable and compliant diesel exhaust fluid.

Increasingly, power generation and marine sectors use AdBlue®-type fluids to help large stationary engines and vessels meet tightening environmental standards across Asia Pacific.
