Due to this, the Brenntag cosmetics team have recently looked at a number of end-products such as skin creams, masks, lotions, cleansers, oils, micellar waters, butters, hair styling, protection and care, colour cosmetics, UV protective sun care formulations, baby care concepts which could benefit from texture-enhancing ingredients within their formulations. Here we would like to introduce one of the new formulations developed by our Brenntag European Cosmetics Laboratory team.
Daily Defense Chocolate Mousse
A beautifying and moisturising tinted cream / mousse which features innovative ingredients by Colonial Chemical Inc, Innovi, AkzoNobel, ISCA, Corbion, Sensient, Seven Scent, Brenntag Specialties.
The light and smooth texture is optimised thanks to the potassium cetyl phosphate/glyceryl monostearate/cetyl alcohol synergy, the water phase is texturised with Xanthan Gum and MAS synergy. The Ecocert preservative system is boosted by a “green” chelating system. Cola®Fax CPE-K (Colonial Chemical, Inc) provides silky powdery afterfeel. Anti-pollution and anti-oxidant attributes are achieved due to the inclusion of Protect Control M (Innovi) which helps to reduce UV screen’s quantity and provides an estimated SPF value of 30. This is a PEG-free formulation.
Texture formulations further expand Brenntag’s extensive formulations library and product database, building on the expertise our Cosmetics team is keen to share with their customers.
Brenntag’s European Cosmetics Laboratory based in Amiens (France) works on the development of innovative formulations, assessment of specialty raw materials, sensory analysis, troubleshooting and search for cosmetics performance solutions for our customers across Europe. The team will be at In-Cosmetics 2016 on stand L50.
