At Brenntag, we have eight facilities in the Midwest which are licensed as 10-day transfer facilities. These facilities function as a hub and spoke system to our treatment, storage, and disposal facility (TSDF) which allows customers to efficiently ship less than truckload (LTL) volumes.

At these facilities, we handle a variety of liquids, sludges, and solids in the following packaging sizes:

  • Packaged: small containers, pails, and drums
  • Intermediate Bulk: cubic yard (Gaylord) boxes and totes
  • Bulk: tankers and vacuum tankers

Lab pack and on-site services offer customers:

  • Consumer packaging
  • Disposal services
  • DOT compliant packaging
  • Sampling
  • Transportation
  • Waste identification and characterization

Common waste disposal solutions for hazardous waste include:

  • Fuels blending
  • Incineration
  • Solidification
  • Waste to energy
  • Wastewater treatment

Brenntag assists our customers in the proper preparation of all waste related shipping documents and labels. Our customers receive assistance with:

  • Applicable shipping documents
  • Labels
  • Land disposal restriction (LDR) forms
  • Pre-printed manifests

Hazardous waste paperwork preparation can be complicated and requires technical expertise. Without in-depth knowledge of the regulations and daily use of forms, compliance can be time consuming and result in expensive fines if paperwork and labels are not completed properly.

Brenntag fleet and warehouse

Owned & Operated Fleet

Our fleet offers waste pick-up in conjunction with product delivery. This allows our customers to consolidate vendors by streamlining both delivery and pick-up in one trip. Customers save on freight and fuel surcharge along with improving efficiency by utilizing one dock appointment for both services.

Brenntag owns and operates a fleet of box vans and can also provide both bulk and vacuum truck services. Vacuum tankers are used to allow for faster unloading of bulk storage and have the capability to pump high viscosity waste.

Our drivers and equipment are DOT and HAZMAT certified for transportation of hazardous waste. Additionally, we have a network of certified hazardous waste transporters to augment our transportation capabilities.

Brenntag maintains a $16 million combined liability insurance policy as part of our worldwide policy for Brenntag Group – some of the highest insurance levels in the industry.
