ARLINGTON, VA – The Chlorine Institute’s (CI) annual safety awards program recognizes top performing facilities, provides encouragement for the continued high performance of those facilities, acknowledges facilities that have made progress in their safety performance and serves as one of many motivating factors to continued safety performance improvement. Awards and recognition are based on both annual and milestone achievements in personnel safety, process safety and combined personnel/process safety.

The CI Chairman’s Safety Excellence Award recognizes the highest level of safety achievement for CI members. Recipients must have zero OSHA recordable injuries, zero EPA RMP incidents and zero reportable releases for chlor-alkali chemicals over an applicable milestone timeframe based on work hours.
