History of Brenntag Brazil
Brenntag's history in Brazil began in July 1995, with the acquisition of Alquímica S / A by Holland Chemical International (HCI). In September 1996, HCI reached a new stage in the Brazilian market by acquiring B.Herzog S / A.
In November 2000, Brenntag consolidates its merger with HCI. In August 2002, it acquires Fenil Química Ltda. The synergy created among the 3 companies acquired in Brazil, positioned Brenntag as one of the largest distributors in the country.
In March 2014, Brenntag Química Brasil went further increasing its competitiveness by acquiring Gafor Distribuidora.
Today, with solid growth over 24 years, the world leader in chemical distribution uses its global network in more than 580 locations in 73 countries to operate with excellence in the domestic market.
With over 340 employees in Brazil and 16,600 in the world, we have an extensive portfolio of products and services, serving the main markets of the chemical industry in Brazil: cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, fragrances and sanitizers; foods; plastics and polyurethanes; mining; oil and gas; paints, adhesives and construction; agricultural sectors; in addition to industrial solutions and services.

With our three distribution centers strategically located in the southeastern and southern regions, we operate throughout Brazil with logistics competitiveness.
Today, our distribution centers and storage facilities are among the most efficient in the industry for their quality of operation and structure:
- Guarulhos, São Paulo, with more than 15,250 m²;
- Esteio, Rio Grande do Sul, with more than 8,350 m²;
- Jundiaí, São Paulo, with over 4,800 m².
