Brenntag Specialties, a global leader for innovative specialty and ingredients distribution in Life Science and Material Science, today announced a partnership with Calyxia to distribute their microcapsules-based solutions to Brenntag Specialties customers around the world. Customers in the Material Science markets can now also access innovative products from Calyxia, expanding a recently announced agreement for the Beauty & Personal Care market.
Innovative Calyxia products now available to Brenntag customers include Catalyx™ H encapsulated accelerators for epoxy systems and CalyshieldTM L encapsulated lubricants.
Calyxia’s Catalyx™ H microcapsules offer ambient-stable latency with rapid, on-demand cure for epoxy formulations. This negates the use of cold-chain logistics, enhances throughput, lowers energy use and reduces scrap. The products are fully compatible with existing manufacturing infrastructure. This enables formulators to unlock previously unattainable performance, cost and sustainability benefits.
Calyshield™ L is a PFAS- and silicone- lubricant replacement designed to overcome key challenges in lubrication in coatings and elastomers, ensuring controlled release, enhanced abrasion resistance, and long-lasting performance, while fully protecting the lubricant throughout processing. It is engineered for seamless incorporation in a wide range of coating systems and formulations, making it highly versatile across industries.
