Brenntag acquires majority stake in Trychem
Brenntag enters into a joint cooperation with 51% ownership in chemical distributor Trychem FZC. Trychem is active in the distribution of solvents serving the paint, ink and coatings industries mainly in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt and East Africa. In addition, the company offers mixing, blending, packaging and labeling capacities. In a first step, Brenntag will hold 51% and Tri-Star Transport LLC/JRA Holding 49%.

Tri-Star Group acquires ENOC Chemicals
An Agility group company acquired the chemical distribution business of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC). Post-acquisition the business was rebranded to Trychem LLC Dubai and placed under management control of Tri-Star. Under the terms of the deal Trychem inherited ENOC’s long term storage agreement with Horizon Terminals in Jebel Ali Free Zone for storage and handling of bulk and packed industrial chemicals and solvents.
Tri-Star is a fully integrated liquid logistics solutions provider headquartered in the UAE and with an operating presence in 16 countries across the globe. The company’s core expertise includes handling hydrocarbons, lubricants, chemicals and liquid gases with dedicated facilities to manage road transport, warehousing, fuel farms, turnkey fuel supply operations, into plane fuel services, and ship owning and chartering for clean petroleum products.
