This year, Brenntag GmbH, the German subsidiary of the Brenntag Group, took part in the “Long Night of Industry” series of events for the second time. On 17 October 2013, 80 participants had the opportunity to take a closer look at the company’s plant in Duisburg and to gain insight into the everyday work of the global market leader in chemical distribution. As well as a tour of the plant grounds, visitors were given a presentation about the company and found out more about Brenntag GmbH’s multifaceted “Brenntag Campus” personnel program.
Lothar Steuer, Head of Corporate Communications at Brenntag GmbH, was very satisfied with the event in Duisburg: “We are delighted that so many people have once again shown an interest in visiting our site this year – and that we once again had the opportunity to present Brenntag as the open, responsible company that it is.”
The “Long Night of Industry” is a series of events held all over Germany, taking place for the third time in the Rhine-Ruhr area this year with a total of 68 companies from the region taking part. The aim of this series of events is to increase interaction between companies and visitors and to show participants the importance of industry for everyday life.
