Brenntag, the global market leader in chemical distribution, announces that Jürgen Buchsteiner, Member of the Management Board of Brenntag AG, has decided to leave the company at the end of his contractual term end of this year. Over the recent period he successfully established a broad and experienced management team in the region Asia Pacific which is now firmly in place. Furthermore, this enables growth in industrial chemicals in South-East Asia. In addition the growth is being supported by a strong leadership role in China.
Buchsteiner joined Brenntag in 2000 as Chief Financial Officer. He held this position until 2012 where he took over responsibility for the region Asia-Pacific alongside his responsibility for Mergers & Acquisitions.

Brenntag recently announced the appointments of Karsten Beckmann as new Chief Executive Officer of Europe and Markus Klähn as new Chief Executive Officer of North America after both have served successfully as Chief Operating Officers of the regions for a number of years.
