Brenntag, the global market leader in chemical distribution, is publishing its initial sustainability report with a clear commitment and prioritization on health, safety and environmental protection representing the company’s most important values. Based on the report’s “Adding value” concept, the company is using projects from various areas – environmental management, social commitment, compliance, and occupational health and safety – to illustrate how added value is created worldwide. It is above all the large number of local and regional projects, which are often initiated by employees on their own initiative, that demonstrate the importance of sustainability for Brenntag and its exceptional commitment to implementing sustainable business practices throughout the company.
Steven Holland, CEO of Brenntag AG: “Generating added value for our employees, business partners, shareholders, neighbours and the general public is a fundamental part of our daily activities. Our commitment towards health, safety and the environment is not only reflected in our sustainability strategy but above all in our successful and resilient business model. We offer our customers and suppliers added value along the supply chain and help them to implement sustainable work practices.”
Following an inspection by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) based on the G3 Guidelines, the Brenntag Group’s first sustainability report was certified as reporting at a C Level. The GRI Guidelines make it possible to compare companies’ sustainability performance at international level.
