Brenntag Austria has been certified by Quality Austria ISO 9001:2000 since 1999. The validity of this Quality Austria Certificate is guaranteed by annual control and three year extension audits. Above and beyond that, it’s important for the individual areas of our business to fulfil their obligations and be able to formally prove adherence to official standards. For that reason, Food Production in Guntramsdorf holds ISO 22000 Certificate (Food Safety), and Pharmaceutical Filling holds a GMP- Certificate.
We are well aware of the responsibilities we have to our customers. That’s why we not only comply with the constantly increasing number of quality requirements issued for the food industry; we take them a step further.The HACCP concept (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a systematic approach to identifying microbiological, chemical and physical dangers in food processing and to introducing measures to avoid and remove them.Brenntag decided on an audit of its HACCP system, on the one hand to help optimise the system and, on the other hand, to have formal documentation of the diligence with which it cares for and monitors processes to avoid risks to foodstuffs.After two years of intense effort culminating in a successful audit, Quality Austria granted our company the appropriate HACCP seal of approval.The HACCP concepts of the locations Guntramsdorf, Judendorf and Traun are anchored in the Qualitymanagement manual. This gives us a superb basis for the successful and effective application of the HACCP system. HACCP, as a prophylactic concept, is based on extensive management, applicable to the areas of production-, product-, handling- and personal hygiene.For our customers, this means that they can trust our products as well as our processes, which have met the exacting standards of an independent auditor, Quality Austria
After the introduction of a certified HACCP-concept, Brenntag decided to develope qualitatively.
In 2013, the food production in Guntramsdorf was ISO 22000 certified. The validity of these ceritficates is monitored by annual audits and three yearly renewal audits.
