HRM Awards 2018
The Ritz Carlton was the place to be on Friday, March 2nd, for the 15th anniversary of Singapore’s HRM Awards.
Dubbed as the “HR Oscars”, the event celebrated HR’s best and brightest of 2017 with an estimated attendance of 600 Human Resources practitioners and business leaders in more than 20 industries in manufacturing, chemical, banking, telecommunications, transport, government linked companies and hospitality.
Out180 participating companies, Brenntag Asia Pacific was selected into the finals along with 80 finalists, competing for 5 of the 20 categories in:
- Best Training, Learning & Development
- Best Change Management Strategies
- Hays Award for Employer of Choice
- Best C-Suite Leader, Henri Nejade, President & CEO Asia Pacific
- Best HR Leader, Angie Ng, Vice President Human Resource, Asia Pacific
The HRM Award show is a golden opportunity to network, learn best HR practices, create awareness and promote our employer brand in Singapore. “It was a great experience and a platform for us to understand what it means to be competing in HR awards”, says HR Project Manager Weng Yip.
To Henri Nejade, President & CEO Asia Pacific, it is “the beginning of the journey on how we want to work on our employer brand”. With the exposure the awards provided, people are now starting to know more and more about Brenntag and its “ConnectingChemistry” company slogan.
According to Commercial President Pierre Colignon, “Brenntag has become a known name across multiple industries in Singapore after tonight’s event”.
A company’s identity is created by its employees and establishing a distinguished employer brand will not happen overnight. To make that happen, it requires partnership and commitment between Brenntag and its employees. The valuable experience gained from HRM awards gave us a deeper appreciation and understanding of the areas we need to work on creating that unique employment experience for our staff.
