Food & Beverage – Stronger together with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Food & Beverage held successfully its 8th meeting and teambuilding through CSR activity in Yangon Myanmar from 4 to 6 April 2018.
The meeting focused on roadmap of Vision 2020 with initiatives working towards achieving higher competencies of TRIMS; Pushing Boundaries and continued to well positioned Brenntag as the preferred distributor channel by suppliers and customers. It was followed with a span of sessions covering from case study, supplier management, new supplier, commercial success as well as people recognition awards presented to its leaders and team members in Asia Pacific. In addition, Mintel and Euromonitor were invited to present the latest concept and trends in the Food Industry as well as demonstrated how to use the website platform in a more efficient way. The group has an engaging session to address the data validity, information and support.
As part of Brenntag commitment and on-going effort in giving back to the community, Food & Beverage organized teambuilding through CSR at Andrew Youth Development Center (AYDC) in Yangon Myanmar on April 5. The center supports about 70 orphanage and abandoned children with majority range from 5 to 17 years old.
During the one day CSR, the Food & Beverage team enjoyed the interactive games, photo opportunities and also dance performance by the children of AYDC.
Donation of essential and gifts like 70 each of blankets, mosquito nets, slippers, books, mats, rice, bags and as well as 32 sets of table and chairs were presented to AYDC. The CSR activity continued its happy momentum with painting by Brenntag team to provide a new fresh look and conducive study class room environment for children of AYDC.
The meaningful event was led by Margaret Chua, Regional Industry Manager – Food & Beverage with active and strong support from the entire Brenntag Myanmar team.
In closing remarks, many participants expressed that this platform encourages both personal and professional growth to be passionate and be passionate about worthy causes.
