Purpose of Position
To contribute to the achievement and maximisation of agreed budgeted EBITDA by managing and
developing new and existing customer relationships in order to maximise sales .
Responsible for the delivery of monthly / quarterly / annual EBITDA, cash flow and budgeted
targets using effective sales techniques and the company’s sales procedures
Manage key accounts against set targets, including mandatory face to face sales call quotas
Open and develop new trading accounts
Maintain a sales plan for the area, monitoring and mapping time scales and actions required to
Maintain appropriate level of product knowledge, including attendance at product training
Continually seek new market and product sales opportunities
Liase with appropriate BDMs to maximise sales opportunities
Monitor, evaluate and report on competitor’s activities in order to identify sales opportunities
Contribute to industry and company product development to maximise sales opportunities
Liase and work closely with other members of the sales team to ensure the customer’s
requirements are fulfilled efficiently and effectively
Completion of Visit Reports on a daily basis, allowing relevant members of the sales support
team to follow up any actions
Completion of Monthly Reports within the defined period, including analysis of the sales area
and details supporting numbers
Proactively assist in managing targets for the sector, including the reduction of bad debtors
Contribute to the budgeting process by forecasting sales and profit within the sales area
Ensure that the business operates within the stated company quality assurance procedures and
legal requirements at all times.
Any other reasonable duties assigned by the Sector or Depot management as deemed
necessary from time to time.
Full Driving Licence (held for minimum of 12 months)
Degree in Business, Chemistry or relevant field would be desirable
Experience & Knowledge
Previous experience as an Account Manager ideally within the Pharma and/or Cosmetic
chemical industry or similar.
Proven track record in building sales, and developing relationships within a competitive
and innovative market

An experienced and profession sales account manager who can demonstrate ? effective time
management, territory planning, commercial negotiation skills and project management.
An understanding of the profile and sensitivities of the Irish Pharma, BioPharma, and Medical
Ability to meet regular time critical reporting activities , and forward calendar planning.
Competent IT skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills .
Working as part of a variety of inter-company teams, this individual is able to develop strong
working relationships with colleagues at all levels .

To be in Dublin depot for at least 1 day per week (for more than 3/4 hours) and visit Belfast
Consultative selling experience
Preferred to live in Cork/Waterford area.
