Health, Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection at Brenntag North America

Brenntag North America is committed to stewardship in the broadest sense of the word. Through active support of and participation in "Responsible Distribution" programs, Brenntag has developed active and ongoing processes for the protection of its employees, the environment and its customers.

Brenntag personnel worked with the National Association of Chemical Distributors and the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors to develop and implement Responsible Distribution, a management process that encompasses risk recognition, risk management, process safety, waste reduction, customer education and environmental protection. Brenntag's Responsible Distribution programs are audited by outside third parties to assure completeness.

Of utmost concern for Brenntag is the safety of our neighbors and our employees in the communities we serve. Safety and training specialists exist in all Brenntag companies and have the responsibility of reducing  accidents and incidents to zero both, on and off of Brenntag sites.

Most Brenntag facilities are certified to  ISO 9001:2000 quality standard and a number comply with ISO 14000 environmental guidelines. Environmental protection is a major consideration in the construction of new facilities and the reconstruction of older locations.

From top to bottom, our commitment to health, safety and  environment is evidenced by actions not just words.
