Tournan: High-Tech Chemical Distribution
| In 1999, Brenntag opened the distribution center in Tournan near Paris, merging four former locations. With a total area of 70,000 m², the facility is even bigger than the Duisburg distribution center and sets similarly challenging standards in the field of environmental protection and work health and safety. The efficiency of operations in Tournan is backed up by fully automatic filling systems and comprehensive monitoring devices. |  |

All highly flammable solvents are stored in underground tanks equipped with leakage alarms. Brenntag has also taken great pains to upgrade the external appearance of the facility by, among other things, planting 400 trees.
One aspect that is unusual for a chemical facility is that the entire project was fully supported by the regional environmental protection association - something that Brenntag is proud of. |
