New Management at Brenntag Latin America, Inc.

Mike Nadin (55), President and Chief Financial Officer Brenntag Latin America,
Inc. has stepped down after 23 years of outstanding achievements for HCI
and Brenntag at the end of 2003.
Effective January 1, 2004 Peter Staartjes (44) has been promoted to President Brenntag Latin America, Inc. Peter Staartjes has more than two decades of extensive experience in the chemical distribution business where he has held a variety of sales management and marketing positions at HCI and Brenntag, before he became Chief Operating Officer Brenntag Latin America, Inc. in November 2002. At the same time Markus Klähn (35) has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer Brenntag Latin America, Inc. Prior to joining the Brenntag Latin American office in Houston, Markus Klähn gained sound management and financial expertise as Vice President Corporate Development and IT at Brenntag AG corporate head office in Germany and previously at Brenntag Inc., Reading (PA), USA. With sales of more than 300 million Euros and a network of about 50 sites which cover the major industrial regions, Brenntag is the No. 1 chemical distributor in Latin America. With worldwide sales amounting to 4.3 billion Euros in the business year 2002 and 8,300 employees at about 300 sites, Brenntag Group is the global leader in the growing market for chemical distribution.
